My Maribank Digital Bank investment. No bad return
My Maribank investment
Backgnd on my Maribank Invest Income
I started my first $25k cash investment on 31 May 25. To-date, I earned my first monthly interest of $135 on 31 Jun 25. Annualised interest: ($135 × 12)/$25,000 × 100% = 6.48% p.a.
To-date
1. I have topped up my Maribank Invest Income portfolio from $25k to $100k (on 15 Jul 25). On Annualised, I should get ($541 × 12)/$100,000 × 100% = 6.49% p.a.2. Next day (Day1), my portfolio falls (due to daily Fund Price) below my monthly payout of $135 from earlier Jun 25 dividend.
Day 1: From $100,000 + $135 -->> $99,976
Day 2: From $99,976 recovers to $100,188
My Takeaway
1. Don't lose sleep with the daily Fund fluctuation. Just an illustration only.
2. Daily Fund prices will fluctuate.
3. I would keep $5,000 of the dividends compounded in the account. In this case: $541 × 10 = $5,410. This is to provide some buffers from my $100,000 and to sleep well above my principal invested. ($5,000 for my 10,000 unit means ~$0.50 drops in Fund price. It should be sufficient to weather any daily fluctuation l, hopefully).

4. Better still, only withdraw after that at 50% monthly dividend ? ($250 per month or $3,000 p.a.)?
